Making a booking


To make a holiday reservation, please:

Before booking you should read the Terms & Conditions as these are deemed to be accepted once the booking is confirmed. 




Sorry but we do not normally accept children below 11 years of age (other than babes in arms).




Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, subject to a £20 supplement per booking. Please visit our Dogs Invited page for more details.


Holiday duration and changeover days


Apart from Xmas and New Year, holiday rentals generally run from Saturday to Saturday. The standard arrival time is 3 p.m. and we ask guests to vacate by 10:00 a.m. to allow time for preparation.


In low season we can often be more flexible on duration and changeover days. This includes the possibility of short breaks. Do please ask if you have any special request.


Reservations, deposits and insurance


Before booking, please check the Prices and Availability page and then e-mail or telephone your requirements and details. Do not pay anything until we have confirmed the dates and requested payment.

We will confirm availability by return e-mail, inform you of payment details and hold your provisional reservation.


Temporary changes to terms & conditions: We appreciate you will have concerns about booking a holiday while the Coronavirus situation remains fragile. 

During this uncertain period we are therefore reducing deposits to 10% of the total holiday cost. Additionally, the balance will not fall due until three weeks (previously eight) before arrival. 

Deposits will be fully refundable if - on the date final payment falls due - you have to cancel either because of government restrictions or if a member of your party is suffering possible Coronavirus symptoms or has to be in isolation.

Should you have to cancel for COVID-related reasons after the balance has been paid, we will offer a reasonable choice of alternative dates in the following twelve months.

Under other circumstances, refunds will only be considered on a discretionary basis and only if the property is re-let. 


Guests are strongly recommend to take out holiday cancellation insurance independently, if cover is available. A range of insurers may be found on the internet.


Payment methods


We prefer payment by bank transfer for all transactions.

However we can also acccept UK cheques and (for international transactions only) Pay Pal.

What's included in the price


There are no hidden extras. Included in the holiday price are the costs of electricity, gas, water, car parking, bed linen, towels,  broadband internet access, a basket of logs for the woodburner, fresh flowers and a welcome pack. For a full list, please go to our Facilities page.


Security bonds


Although not a general policy, the owners reserve the right to request a security bond at the time of booking. If this applies, details will be made clear before any payment is accepted and the booking confirmed
